Meet Our Team

Erika has been with us since 2020. She is such a hard worker, compassionate with our clients and patients, and just a wonderful addition to our team. Erika is enjoying learning new things, and loves how everyone here works as a team.

Grant has been with us since 2015. He values being a part of the team, learning new skills and time management. Grant has the best sense of humor and often has the hospital in tears of laughter. When Grant is not at work, he loves watching movies and listening to music.

Jezzie is a true animal lover through and through, and the perfect fit for our hospital. Her dream in life was to work with animals, and has taken courses in animal care, and going to continue an education within the veterinary field.

Justin has such a great personality with a contagious laugh, making working with him such a pleasure. He is a great veterinary assistant with very valuable experience, and cares so much for every patient that comes to see us.

Dr. Akashi is an Orange County native who developed a love for animals by watching countless hours of Animal Planet at an early age. She volunteered at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific for four years, and soon after began working at an animal hospital.

Dr. Marissa Robertson grew up down the street from Newport Harbor Animal Hospital and had the pleasure of bringing her many pets here while she was growing up. At the age of 17, she started shadowing some of the doctors and quickly fell in love with veterinary medicine.

Update: After 22 years at NHAH and over 40 years of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Wade has retired and is thoroughly treasuring all of the memories.

Julie is a perfect addition to our family, and has already made wonderful connections with our clients and patients. She has quite a bit of experience working in a veterinary practice, which is extremely valuable as she is learning from our team very quickly.

We are so proud to have Lizette on our team, as she has a great love for all animals and her care for them is extraordinary. She is an Animal Health Science major, with a goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Katie comes to us with plenty of valuable experience in the veterinary field. She wanted to work in a practice that shares the same values as she does, which is a hospital that treats all patients as if they were their own.

Richard is such a pleasure to work with, and has a genuine passion for all animals. We feel lucky to have him as part of our family and team, as he is always so pleasant to work with.

Stephanie is a welcome part of our team and family. Her dream in life is to work with animals and help them maintain a happy and healthy life, which she does very well caring for them while they are boarding or staying with us for treatment.
