My Dog Has Been Skunked!

Growing up in upstate New York, I had much exposure to skunks and dogs who made the mistake of getting to close to them. My own dog chased a skunk into our garage. One of the great concerns we have about internal parasites in dogs is that some of them are potentially harmful to their owners as well. Roundworms and Hookworms are both able to land in humans and can cause severe problems in some cases. We are all very close to our pets. We love them, kiss them and many times sleep with them.
