Dr. Tom Austin
Dr. Tom Austin was raised in West Virginia. He received his B.S. degree from West Virginia University and his DVM degree from Purdue University. He worked in a mixed animal practice in his home town for two years, then came to Newport Harbor Animal Hospital. Dr. Austin's special interests are Surgery, Internal Medicine and Diagnostics.

In his free time, Dr. Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs, Callie, Moose, Zoe and their cat Vinnie. Dr. Austin also has two teenage sons, Hunter and Miles. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, skiing, and is an avid cyclist who has competed in many time trials, criterions and road races. Dr Austin has also competed in the race across America Corporate Challenge (24 hour race) three times. His greatest hiking experience was reaching the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
