Originally from Toronto Ontario in Canada , Dr. Mary Sebzda received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph in 1994 and her DVM degree from Ontario Veterinary College in 1998.

Dr. Sebzda first practiced veterinary medicine in Merced County at a mixed animal practice performing medicine and surgery on companion and farm animals. It was here that she developed a keen interest in studying and learning about animal reproduction (theriogenology). Dr. Sebzda's main field of interest remains animal reproduction and she has become a proud member of the Society for Theriogenology since joining our staff at Newport Harbor Animal Hospital. Dr. Sebzda is committed to sharing her knowledge of the types of services and medicine available for the improvement and control of fertility in dogs, cats and small mammals. She encourages her clients to come to her with any reproductive questions they have concerning their pets.

In her leisure time, Dr. Sebzda enjoys playing her violin, ballet dancing and golf. Her great "loves" include her 2 adopted cats, "Horus" and "Kleinfelter", and her Great Dane, "Hannibal" (the warrior).
